May 17, 2018I have only good things to say!
I bought a 1000 rounds of this ammo and have run it through my entire collection of 9 mm pistols, Glock, H&K, Walther, Taurus PT 99, CZ. I have experienced great results and no problems at all. I am buying 2000 rounds this time as I am more sure about the quality, which I know is excellent.

June 3, 2017Great ammo if used in the right gun
I have used this ammunition in a Glock 19 for many years with great results. Beware however, the 147 grain will not function reliably in the Glock 43. I experienced FTF at least once per magazine while shooting/testing 250 rounds.

November 16, 2016Great Consistent JHP Quality & Good Pricing
I've been running this cartridge in my G23 & G27 .40 cal 155 & 180 grain for several years and they're really good. Effective and priced right. I just bought some 9mm barrels for both guns so I can run 9mm. Looking forward to seeing how they work with the 33 round mags. Expect them to be great and will see how they work in my G43 also. Typical great transaction with LG.

December 18, 2015Excellent SD ammo.
This is great SD ammo. When I uSe my FNS 9MM COMPACT as my EDC fire arm it stays loaded with this Federal white box ammo. In my LE carrier this is the round the department issued as duty rounds at the time the 1990's the dept armor told us this round was the exact same round as Federal hydra shock. Don't know if that is true buy I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the god forbid that… read more situation occurred.

August 9, 2013Good stuff!
Even though this is the older 147gr Hi-Shok (not to be confused with the newer Hydra-Shok and HST types) I love this round. I shot 100 rounds through my Beretta PS4 Storm (Full) and they had excellent groups (2-3) at 25 yards and no jams. The 147gr JHP in general (standard pressure) is becoming my favorite home defense round. I might switch to the 147gr Federal American Eagle… read more FMJ for practice loads since it's cheaper but continue to use these for home JHP home defense.

June 14, 2013What's not to expect?....Pefect Ammo
I am keeping this ammo for home/personal defense. I did however have my wife run 200 rounds through a M&P9. No fouls, easy loading, recoil as expected, clean POW, very accurate. USA self defense ammo at it's best. These are the rounds you need loaded in that perfect spot behind your' headboard. No second chance for "bad guys"! You get what you pay for. Will the heaver bullet compared to 115 grain (in a smaller 9mm with 3" barrel) produce more perceived recoil?
Thanks for reaching out Robert! That's very difficult to say. Recoil energy is the product of four factors: bullet weight, propellant weight, firearm weight and muzzle velocity. As a general rule a heavier 9mm bullet has a slower muzzle velocity, and the
For home defense, what are the relative advantages and disadvantages for 119 gr vs 147 gr. LG has great prices on both right now.
Hi PE. The decision of projectile weight is a personal preference. There are some who think a lighter but faster bullet is best while others believe in using a heavier but slower rounds. There are arguments to support both decisions, but in the end, bo
Is this round subsonic?? I am looking for a JHP for use with my suppressor. Thanks.
Typically anything less than 1125 fps is considered subsonic. The actual speed may vary slightly with humidity and elevation This round is rated at 1000 fps so would be well below what you looking for. Just be sure to consult the manufacturer of your s
