5.56x45 - 55 Grain FMJ - Federal American Eagle - 400 Rounds in Ammo Can
Basic is good! This 5.56x45 ammunition by Federal doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles that hike up its production costs. It’s just the regular ammo you want for target shooting, plinking, and training with an M4 or AR-15 rifle. At its heart, this is the same exact ammunition the U.S. Armed Forces would issue for use at the rifle range or in combat. Its bullet is a true FMJ, which is not designed for terminal expansion but will fragment apart if it hits soft tissue at close or medium range. This bullet’s gilding metal jacket conceals a solid lead core – there is no steel in the American-made bullet. Smooth feeding, clean performance, and good accuracy! This ammo is non-corrosive and Boxer primed. Its brass cases were manufactured at the government’s Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Lake City anneals their brass to toughen it up, but they don’t polish it afterward. You’ll see the cosmetic annealing marks, but be certain that this ammo has new and reloadable cases. All 400 rounds come packaged together in a .30 cal ammo can. This container’s latch tightly seals its lid so its rubber gasket can lock out harmful moisture, and its seam-welded steel construction is designed to absorb all kinds of abuse without damaging the ammo. Pretty much exactly what you want if you plan to tuck this ammo somewhere safe instead of firing it right away!
